Goodbye for now...

I will be taking a sabbatical from blogging for the next week or two. I sincerely doubt anyone really wants to read about my never-ending string of fabulous dates which go sour very quickly. Or my soon-to-be state of unemployment. Or my current cancer freak out. I'm way too depressed to put anything into words right now.

Anyone's fortune can change in a week. Maybe even mine.

I'll be stopping by and visiting all my buddies during this span, but don't be surprised if I just lurk and don't contribute anything to the comments and/or conversation.

Until later,

To boost your confidence in the coming weeks, I read your blog almost everyday. It's not a stalkerish thing, I assure you. It was nice to find a person who thinks and writes the way I do.
I found your blog by searching in the profiles under tortoises. I have a little Russian tort and I wanted to know what kind of other people had them. It was refreshing to find a twenty-something that still was not sure what she wanted to be when she grew up. I currently find myself in the same state and needed some reassurance about my choices (i.e. to make sure that I wasn’t crazy).
Just thought you might want to know that someone out there in the big world will miss your voice on your sabbatical. –Thank you.

Best of luck on your journey, Jen. There's a buddhist statement that goes something like this: Praise and blame, joy and sorrow, gain and loss, come and go like the wind -- to be happy is like a great tree that rests amidst it all. I wish you peace and happiness. I'll be here to read and contribute when you get back.

Good luck with everything Jen. Sounds like you are doing the right thing. We could all use some time to step back and reflect. Take care of yourself.
